About Me
I'm a well-seasoned educator, administrator, researcher, and autism ally. I have over 40 years of experience helping individuals, families, and institutions integrate autistic students in ways that affirm, respect and celebrate the value that all humans bring.
I grew up in the Washington, D.C. suburbs and have lived and taught in Maryland, Hawaii, and Minnesota. As the former executive director of Lionsgate Academy Charter School, I have personally seen the power of how inclusive and welcoming environments can transform families and change the trajectory of students' lives. As a researcher, I believe in data driven decision-making and respect the role that research plays in forming best practices for students with autism.
As a mom to two strong, capable and independent daughters (one autistic, one not) I have the lived experience of developing connections in neurodiverse communities.
